Relapse

November 8, 2013 | By

Do please unhesitatingly get down,
and draw your life again with a crayon,

vines

“My roots have grown into the deep brown affectionately embracing the stones.”

The vines trailing from
my arms
touch the warm,
moist earth
and then climb the walls
towards the skylight.
My roots have grown
into the deep brown
affectionately embracing the stones.
My face upturned
seeks the light,
the air.
I do not like
the clammy moss
creeping up my feet
as though it has
a mind of its own,
creeping up the walls
which move in
one grain at a time.
It shall not be long
before the sun bird flits in
and so I close my eyes
breathing in
the bottle green light,
listening to the crackling
of the buds
bursting into bloom.
