Virtual book launch of Chronicles of a Corporate Executive
Ramendra Kumar (Ramen)’s latest book was released at an online event organised by the prestigious Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Dhenkanal. Dr. Mrinal Chatterjee, Regional Director, IIMC, Dhenkanal and renowned writer and columnist did the honours.
Speaking about the book Ramendra Kumar said, “For the fresher, I believe, the book offers a rare insight into the working of the Indian enterprise with several pragmatic tips including a Paradigm on Crisis Management and a Social Media Policy. For the veteran, it is like treading the familiar path with a brash guide who believes in candour and honesty.”
The book release was a part of a panel discussion on “The discussion on Challenge of Writing Across Genres.”
Prof Chatterjee while introducing the theme said different skills were required while writing a report, a feature and a story and hence keeping the sensibilities of the readers was of utmost importance.
Dr. Anil Kumar Vadvathoor, RD, IIMC, Kottayam reiterated the need to make science fiction popular by making the style interesting and the narrative enjoyable.
Later, Ramendra Kumar said that storytelling is an art which can embellish every piece of communication.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Jyoti Prakash Mohapatra, Assistant Professor, IIMC, Dhenkanal. Students from IIMC, Kottayam, IIMC Dhenkanal, PR professionals and media persons participated in the seminar.
