j.k.rowlingThe Harry Potter series  author J.K. Rowling is heading to tinsel town as screenwriter for a new film series that is based on a textbook – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a must read for the young wizards.

Based on the book, Comic Relief, the new series is neither a prequel nor sequel to Rowling’s universally popular Harry Potter drama.

While Harry, Hermione and Ron will probably not be in the movie, don’t be surprised to see Albus Dumbledore who did write the foreword for the book.

An appearance by the whimsical Luna Lovegood is also possible who as it turns out, is married to Newt’s grandson, Rolf!
