Love is… finding utopia even in shackles. On Valentine’s Day, enjoy this sweet love poem from Ramendra Kumar.

I was at peace
Floating along
Like a paper boat
In the torrent of life
Until
You exploded
Into my being,
Sweeping me away
Like a postage stamp
In a gale.
The touch
Of your pliant lips
Holding me
In thrall.
Your eyes spinning
A gentle web.
The dulcet notes
Of your voice
Enmeshing me in a collage
Of rhythm.
Your smile
Shackling me
In eternal captivity.
Without you…
Freedom
Is an anathema.
With you
Bondage is
Utopia.
