SMM Ausaja is the only one in the country to possess a poster of Mili. Not even Osians has one. The reason for this exclusivity is that Mili was never re released, so it’s posters were not printed in bulk. “Consequently the first print run perished and the second one never happened,” says Ausaja.
For the uninitiated, re-release refers to the practice of releasing a film more than once. Films were released and in their initial runs they did jubilees, running for 25-50 weeks at the box-office.
Once the initial run was over, they were taken off the theatres. The posters were sold in raddi and then after a few years or months if the distributor decided to release it again, the posters were printed again.
