Celebrating and honouring the special life and the special abilities of a child with autism, for the Autism Special Edition of ‘Learning and Creativity’.

Come see my pristine orderly world
My private world of music and harmony.
Okay I will let you enter my world
Tiptoe please, loud noise jars
Do you see that arc it is my personal rainbow brilliant!
Come see my pristine orderly world.
My private world of music and harmony.
I feel best when left to myself
I know you are there
But my cocoon is my protective shell
In my world, there is peace
Am I making myself clear?
Why are you not understanding?
It is my world, mine, beautiful
Birds are not caged
Animals not harmed
I play my music so do they
Bright colourful days
Yet you cry white
Why? Why?
Why do you give me that look?
Are you blaming fate?
But I am God’s blessed child!
