This memoir is targetted at all age-levels as it is about the thoughts and emotions of a person undergoing treatment and how she combats her illness on one hand and on the other, observes the people around her: friends and family who are surrounded by their own fears. The book is in the form of diary entries and is interspersed with poems and prose pieces written by her during this time. This is also her journey within; and the manner in which she discovered her talents, thus fulfilling her dream of becoming a writer and poet.
