The 4th edition of Jagran Film Festival (JFF), an initiative by the Jagran Group towards creating a culture of cinema appreciation, is all set to commence on September 24, 2013.
The 6-day festival is scheduled to cover 16 cities across 7 different states, beginning from Delhi, travel through Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Meerut, Dehradun, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Indore, Bhopal and finally concluding in Mumbai.
Movies showcased this year will be featured under the seven genres – World Panorama, Indian Showcase, Indian Premiers, Jagran Shorts – Short Films between 5 to 30 minutes duration, T 20 of Indian Cinema (The Best of Indian Cinema in the past 100 years), Cinema of the Sellers – Indian Competition for Advertising Films, and Film by Debut Directors.
The Indian showcase will be featuring movies across different genres and languages. Some prominent names include Sanjay Jadhav’s Duniyadari, Kamal Hassan’s Vishwaroopam, Gajendra Ahire’s Touring Talkies, Nitin Kakkar’s Filmistan, Gauri Shinde’s English Vinglish and Anand Gandhi’s Ship of Theseus.
