A total of 1,136,212 semi-precious stones for the floral inlay of the columns: lapis lazuli, amethyst, bloodstone, agate and red onyx among them. All the cutting work was done in India and the marble came from Greece, along with a team of special artisans from India who stayed in Abu Dhabi for almost a year polishing the stone.
