Mr Natwarlal, the film’s title and the character played by Amitabh Bachchan, was inspired from the well-known conman Natwarlal who had kept evading the police.
The film is also known for making Amitabh Bachchan croon a song on screen for the first time, the superhit “Mere paas aao mere doston, ek kissa suno”.
