The air like papier-mâché heavily beautiful
torn music chunks sticky
catch in open passages
send aromatic messages.

Arati, one of the ancient rituals
The air like papier-mâché heavily beautiful
torn music chunks sticky
catch in open passages
send aromatic messages.
Voices with edgy, broken boundaries
dampen bodies decorated with movement.
Vivid, layered rhythms like cold compresses heavily saturated
stimulate without awakening the dead
buried beneath history books
whose dust is kicked up by agile feet.
