Dr Padmanabh Joshi (1 Post)

In late 50s, during his stay in Mumbai, Dr Padmanabh K Joshi met lyricist Shailendra who introduced him to maestros Shankar-Jaikishan. He attended many of their recordings, discussed film music, background music, etc with them. He also met music arranger Sebastian D'Souza and musician-composer Dattaram. Dr Joshi wrote a musical biography of Shankar-Jaikishan in Gujarati and also many articles on SJ and other music directors due to his interest in film music. He compiled and edited a biographical volume on Dr. Vikram Sarabhai in English. He worked in Indian Space Research Organization, Indian Institute of Management and Nehru Foundation for Development, Ahmedabad. At present Dr Joshi is organizing Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Archives at the Nehru Foundation for Development, Ahmedabad.

Indranil Bhattacharya (1 Post)

Indranil is an academic and a researcher with a strong interest in documentaries and realist forms in cinema. A film editor by training, Indranil has worked in various capacities in the television industry in India, as well as in independent documentaries and feature films. He has delivered lectures on film history and theory in different Universities, Colleges, and film schools across India, and have also taught in Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Faculty of Films at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, and has revived the research wing there. An alumnus of FTII, Indranil, also holds a doctorate in Cinema Studies from the University of Westminster, London, UK.

Peeyush is well read in Vedic culture and literature and is invited in various centers to deliver enlightening lectures on Vedic values. His range spans from four Vedas to Upanishads and Darshans as well as Bhagvad Gita. He has delivered talks on Yog Darshan in Yoga schools and large gatherings. He currently lives in Oshawa, Ontario in Canada.

He was given a Honorary Award at the 15th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival (Philippines) 2019, an award for Achievement in the Promotion of Kyrgyz film by the Kyrgyzstan Film Critics in 2010, an award for promoting Vietnamese film by the Vietnam Cinema Association in 2008, an award for Asian Cinema at the 8th Cinemanila International Film Festival (Philippines) 2006, and the Korean Cinema Award at the 9th Pusan International Film Festival in 2004.
