Ravana lifting the Kailash Parvat - Kailash Cave, Ellora
As per Hindu Mythology, Ravana once tried to lift Kailash Parvat and take it to Lanka. Lord Shiva put his big-toe over the mountain, while trapping Ravana beneath it. After being pushed into Paataal, Ravana sang hymns in praise of Shiva for a thousand years. Finally, Shiva forgave him and granted him an invincible sword.
