Entrance to cave 19 - Ajanta Caves
Cave 19 was built in the second phase (Vakataka period). This cave is known for its sculptural grandeur of the façade and particularly the two life size Yaksha images on either sides of the chaitya vatayana (arch). The hall has painted depictions of Buddha in various postures.
