Suchitra Sen and Bahu in Filmfare July 22, 1955

PR Films’ domestic drama Bahu starring Usha Kiron, Shashikala and Karan Dewan is back on the sets. Produced by Bikram Pahwa, the film is being directed by the young and enterprising Shakti Samanta. The music score is by Hemant Kumar. With Usha Kiron away in Europe, the producers are busy recording the songs.

Other much talked about films in the making in the year 1955 included Guru Dutt’s CID and Bimal Roy’s Devdas. Visible in this issue of Filmfare is the gorgeous Bengal screen diva Suchitra Sen as Parvati in Devdas.
