A rare photograph which shows that Dada Burman found time to attend cultural programs. It could have been a program by danseuse Sitara Devi and famous singer Kesarbai Kelkar, as both are in the picture. This photograph was taken around 1962-’63 in the foyer of ‘Birla Matoshree Auditorium’ in South Mumbai. From L to R: Pandit Ram Narayan, Danseuse Sitara Devi, Late Dr V. K. Narayana Menon, musicologist , writer, Deputy Director All India Radio, Secretary – Sangeeet Natak Academy, President – NCPA, Late David Abraham (Actor) Pratibha Patil (Who subsequently became President of India), Famous Singer Kesarbai Kerkar (Kelkar) and Dada Sachin Dev Burman.
